The Torn Veil

As we continue our Easter Bible study series, we come to a section that speaks of the torn veil in the temple. This event is recorded in Hebrews 9:1-9 and signifies a change in God's relationship with man. Up until this point, man could only approach God through the medium of animal sacrifices. But when Jesus died on the cross, that veil was torn open and man could now have direct access to God through faith in Christ. Let's take a closer look at this dramatic event!

The Torn Veil means that the way to access God is no longer through animal sacrifices, but now man can have a personal relationship with their creator. This torn veil is a powerful symbol of Christ's victory over sin and death. When he died on the cross, he broke down the barrier that separated us from God. Now we can approach him directly!

The Lord Jesus Christ is alive and well today, and able to do all things. All power is given Him, and through His name, we are forgiven, and through the shedding of His blood our sins are remitted, and that His Word stands as true today as it did 2000 years ago. Repentance of one's sins, water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and being baptized with the Holy Ghost is His divine specific plan of salvation.
