Just Before The Dawn

Just Before The Dawn

How often have you had the experience that just when you have stretched out your faith to believe God for something out of nowhere comes a circumstance that kicks your feet right out from under you?

How often have you had the experience that just when you have stretched out your faith to believe God for something out of nowhere comes a circumstance that kicks your feet right out from under you?

Faith has risen in your heart to a high pitch when you hear the clanging of the enemy telling you it won’t happen.  We have all heard the saying that “it is darkest before the dawn”.  Think about the when you needed something so bad but you were running out of time.

I distinctly remember a car accident Janette and I suffered.  We were facing multiple financial needs at the time.  Janette had prepared a picnic lunch on that day and thoughtfully dropped by my office to pick me up to take a break, go to the park and have a delightful picnic.  We had a lot of worries but we were trying to relax and believe God for them.  As we entered an intersection I looked to my right and saw a car coming at us at high speed.  It was clear he had no time to stop. Two seconds later the car slammed into my door. The driver in the car was clearly unconscious which I saw as the driver's side of his vehicle flipped around and bounced off my door. Our car flipped up into the air (glass flying everywhere) nearly turning over.

As our car was coming back down on its wheels I heard echoing in mind “I am answering your prayer!”  Yes, that’s right.   In the middle of a life-threatening circumstance, God let me know He was answering my prayer!

What is it you are facing?  What doubts have come to mind?  We know this one thing that God knows how to bless when seems like it is the darkest time of our life.  It may be dark but the dawn is coming.  His blessing is coming!  By the way, the settlement from that accident provided the funds to meet our financial need.
