YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN

What is being "born of the water" mean?

About Baptism

Baptism is not just an act of faith but in fact,
it is essential to salvation!

Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth,
and we do this to follow His example.
When Jesus told Nicodemus that in order to
enter into heaven you must be born again
of the water and the spirit, it became
imperative that ANY child of God be
baptized by water. And this ceremony
was continued by the disciples after Jesus's
ascension.

When one is baptized, they are submerged
under water to identify with the death
and burial of Jesus and raised out of the
water to identify with His resurrection.

We believe that water baptism is a key to
salvation and it is the burial of the "old man"
and the birth of the "new man."

READY TO BE BAPTIZED?

1  While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus, on the coast, where he found several believers.
2  “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them. “No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
3  “Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
4  Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
5  As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6  Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.
7  There were about twelve men in all.

Acts 19:1-6 (NLT)
