God Wants You

God Wants You

Have you ever felt like running away from God's calling on your life? Like Jonah, who tried to flee from the Lord's command to go to Nineveh, we too may find ourselves resisting God's plans. But just as God pursued Jonah and went so far as to prepare a great fish to swallow him up, God is reaching out to you today. His pursuit of you is unstoppable, and He wants you to know that He has a plan and a purpose for your life.

God's pursuit of us is relentless

Just like Jonah, who tried to escape by boarding a ship headed in the opposite direction of Nineveh, we may try to run away from what God is calling us to do. But no matter how far we stray or how hard we resist, God never gives up on us. He will go to great lengths to get our attention and bring us back into alignment with His will for our lives.

In the case of Jonah, God sent a great storm that threatened the lives of everyone on board the ship. When Jonah confessed his disobedience and was thrown overboard, God prepared a great fish to swallow him up and keep him safe until he was ready to fulfill his mission. This shows us that God's pursuit of us is not only relentless but also protective. He will do whatever it takes to keep us safe and guide us back onto the path He has set before us.

When we finally surrender to God's pursuit and allow Him to lead us where He wants us to go, we will experience true fulfillment and joy. Just as Jonah eventually obeyed God's command and went to Nineveh, where he preached repentance and saw many people turn back to the Lord, so too will we see the fruits of our obedience when we trust in God's plan for our lives. We will discover that His ways are higher than ours and that His purposes are always good.

In conclusion, remember that no matter how far you may have strayed or how hard you may have resisted, God's pursuit of you is unstoppable. He loves you deeply and desires for you to walk in obedience and surrender so that you can experience the abundant life He has planned for you. Embrace His calling on your life with open arms and trust that He will guide you every step of the way. Let go of your fears and doubts, knowing that God wants you more than anything else in this world.

The Gospel Message

The Lord Jesus Christ is alive and well today, and able to do all things. All power is given Him, and through His name, we are forgiven, and through the shedding of His blood our sins are remitted, and that His Word stands as true today as it did 2000 years ago. Repentance of one's sins, water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and being baptized with the Holy Ghost is His divine specific plan of salvation.
