When one of us is hurting, mourning or struggling with unexpected challenges, all the members of our Christian family should feel their pain and come along side them.
No Christian should face any difficulty alone. In his famous letter to the Corinthians, Paul reminds us that when one member suffers, all the members suffer with him or her (1 Cor 12:26).
We can take this verse as an opportunity to demonstrate kindness and act on our empathy toward each other in times of hardship by supporting those who are going through difficult circumstances.
It's a reminder for every believer that none of us are immune from trials and tribulations so why not band together as brothers and sisters in Christ?
Let's explore further what it means for each of us to be "members" in Christ's body – a living representation of His sacrificial love for all people.
The Lord Jesus Christ is alive and well today, and able to do all things. All power is given Him, and through His name, we are forgiven, and through the shedding of His blood our sins are remitted, and that His Word stands as true today as it did 2000 years ago. Repentance of one's sins, water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and being baptized with the Holy Ghost is His divine specific plan of salvation.
